LEXINGTON, SC 23 July 2012 (ACNS) - The Patriarchal See announced today that the Rev. Anthony Giunta, TOR Mar., PhD, has been appointed by the Patriarch as the first Minister General of the Third Order Regular of the Brothers and Sisters of Penance of the Blessed Virgin Mary. here.) Fr. Giunta is a long-time Franciscan and also leads the Holy Cross Mission in Lexington, South Carolina, under the Archdiocese of the Southeast. Cardinal Johnson stated, "I have great expectation that our Franciscans will grow and flourish under Fr. Giunta's leadership."
