PATRIARCHAL SEE 4 April 2020 (ORCNS) - The Imperial Patriarchate leads the way during this challenging time for the Church. As civil governments abuse their powers and suppressed the church, cruelly separating their people from spiritual activity, the system of the Imperial Patriarchate, Anglican Rite Roman Catholic Church proved resilient and effective. It is a system that has been emulated by churches, from the Pope in the Basilica of St. Peter to countless cathedrals and parishes around the world. Masses involve virtual participation, homilies and spiritual instruction reach people through the internet. It is a system pioneered by the Imperial Patriarchate as a key element of its mission-based approach that seeks to reach as many people as possible through innovative means, just as the early church fathers did. The merits of that system are now being realised by many churches around the world as bishops, pastors, and even the Pope follow the lead of the Imperial Patriarchate.

The Imperial Patriarchate’s system is not new, but is deeply rooted in the ancient history of the church – a history that many others have forgotten or intentionally abandoned. Msgr. Leonidas said, “Looking to the 2000 years of the Imperial Patriarchate’s history illuminates our present undertakings and points the way to the future.”
