New Coat of Arms for Franciscan Minister General Officially Released

LEXINGTON, SC 15 August 2012 (ACNS) - The ecclesiastical coat of arms of the Very Rev. Anthony Giunta, TOR Mar., PhD, were officially announce yesterday by the Franciscan Third Order Regular of the Brothers and Sisters of Penance of the Blessed Virgin Mary, of which Fr. Giunta serves as Minister General. The complete arms consist of the arms of the order in the left half (looking at the shield) and Fr. Giunta's personal arms in the right half. The shield is surmounted by a black galero with six tassels on either side, indicative of his rank. The arms were designed by Brett Merlina, p/TOR Mar.
