Apple & BET Hosts Exclusive Theatrical Trailer & Clips
Los Angeles, Calif. (August 28, 2012)—Unconditional, the new compelling drama from Harbinger Media Partners, is continuing to build momentum leading up to its September 21 theatrical release. The major motion picture, starring Golden Globe nominated actor Michael Ealy and Lynn Collins, has announced key partnerships with high-profile national non-profits such as Feed The Children, Arrow Child & Family Ministries, Here’s Life Inner City and more, in addition to more than 150 other local service organizations across the country. The partnerships are a direct response to the film’s ACT campaign, a movement encouraging moviegoers to serve alongside scores of non-profit organizations and ministries to help make a difference in their communities.
"It's encouraging to know that the film is resonating with those serving their community on a daily basis." says Michael Ealy. "This film is important to me because, not only is it entertaining, it will inspire viewers to go out and make a difference."
“This truly touching and special film highlights the difference one person can make in a child’s life armed with unconditional love,” says Feed The Children President Kevin Hagan. “The story is about spreading awareness about the need in our own communities and parallels Feed The Children’s mission with its inspiring message.”
“Unconditional is a very moving film that I highly recommend,” comments Lowell Perry, Jr., CEO of local partner Big Brothers Big Sisters of Middle Tennessee. “If you can go, run, don’t walk!”
Other national partners include Juvenile Justice Ministries, City Life, Dream Center, and the Christian Community Development Association. For a full list of national and local partners supporting Unconditional, please visit www.unconditionalthemovie.com/ACT.
Unconditional tells the story of Sam (Collins), a woman whose storybook marriage is ripped away from her by a senseless act of violence; and “Papa” Joe (Ealy), her oldest friend who leads Sam on a journey back toward unconditional love.
Living out the message of the film, Hollywood teen actor Kwesi Boakye, who plays Macon in the gripping release, recently volunteered at The Dream Center’s Annual Back to School Bash. With over 5,000 attendees, Boakye helped hand out 1500 backpacks filled with school supplies to students whose families face financial hardship in the Los Angeles area.
Contributing to the industry chatter, both Apple and BET hosted exclusive trailers and clips from Unconditional. Additionally, the film’s single “Hope,” sung by Brian Courtney Wilson, is now available on iTunes® http://itunes.apple.com/us/album/hope-single/id553309277?ls=1.
